Short sailing resume;

1964-1966 First attempts with my father and brother in the Dragon and Snipe classes.
In 1966, my first official races as a helmsman in the Snipe class began.
1966-1972 7 years Snipe class
1973-1975 3 years Finn class
1975 mid-season-1977 3 years F.D class
1978- 1983 6 years 470 class
1984-1987 4 years of non-regular Dragonism.

A total of 14 Istanbul championships, 17 Turkish championships and again a total of 177 National teams are only in the Olympic classes.

My main degrees that are very valuable to me are;

1969 European Snipe Championships – 3rd place
1972 European and World Snipe Championships – 2nd place
Balkan Winner, Second Place and various 3rd and 4th places
Mediterranean Games 7th and 8th place.

The first yachting started in 1966 with the late Fahir Çelikbaş’s Keyfim yacht and continued with his own Karya yacht.His first serious yacht experience and knowledge started in 1975 with the S&S designed “Chiquita” yacht belonging to Osman Özdemiroğlu. The first international yacht race was held in 1980 with the Aegean Rally (Ascot yacht). Then, in 1981/1991, I competed with Selin/Korza (Gürhan Tüker)- Provezza (Levent Karabeyoğlu) – Sirena (Cüneyt Cankurtaran) and Indigo (Numan Nasuhioğlu) yachts respectively. As an international race, Porto Carras / Greece races were held with Sirena yacht for 2 years.
With the yacht Ascot, the second place in the Aegean Rali was taken.
An overall second and a fourth place were taken in the Porto Carras races with the Sirena yacht.

The “Provezza Sailing Team”, which has been coming since 1991 until today, is the period when we have been in the international arenas very intensively with our dear Ergin İmre and we have made extraordinary grades.

1992 Porto Carras overall winner.
1993 World Cup / England – sixth place.
1993 Admiral’s Cup-Provezza with Chris Dickson and Orhan Tüker with the British 50 footer “İndulgence”…
1993 Fastnet Rock race – Overall winner with İndulgence.
1994 Porto Carras – overall winner.
1995 Porto Carras – overall second place / class winner.
1995 Flensburg Cup – overall third place and class runner-up.
1996 Copa Del Ray – overall ninth place.
1996 Sardinia Cup – We teamed up with the Belgians and took the sixth place in the teams.
1997 Punta Ala European championships – overall ninth and class fourth.
1997 Copa Del Ray – overall fourth place and class winner.
1998 Punta Ala European Championship – overall eighth place.
1998 Copa Del Ray – overall twentieth.
1999 Punta Ala – overall eleventh place.
1999 Copa Del Ray – overall eighth place.
2000 Porto Carras – overall third place.
2002 Copa Del Ray – overall twenty-ninth place.
2003 – 2004 – 2005 We competed in Turkey – with IMX 45.
2006 Brindisi IMS Mediterraneen Championship – I did it with the Island Team.
2006-2007 Two boat campaign: We started to create 2 teams with FARR 40. The two-boat campaign continued until 2010.
In 2011, our Provezza TP 52 boat was purchased and we started to compete. In the same year, I did some races with the J-Boat 120 “Shaker” boat.
2011 “Cara De Rosa” First 45 was performed with BAYK Trophy.
I competed in the 2012 Beneteau First 40 “Lukunku” and Swan 70 “Strabo”.
2012 BAYK Trophy was held with “Cara De Rosa”.
2012 Swan Cup – Porto Cervo Swan 70 “Strabo” was held.
2012 Beneteau 40.7 one design China Cup series was held
2013 BAYK Trophy was held with “Mad – X”
2013 First 40 competed with Acadia
The 2013 X – 35 World Championships were held in Malmö.
2014 BAYK Trophy was held with ” Anyway ”
2014 Competed with Borusan Farr 40
2014 Istanbul /Didim/Turgutreis and all local races were held
